gulf oil horror

If Katrina caused economic "problems", for the southern region of our country, the impact of this oil will be catistrophic, for decades to come. Anyone who thinks the Gulf of Mexico, isnt a huge influential region in many ways, is fooling themselves. I bet a dollar, that in a few weeks/days...the declaration will be made...a Federal disaster...yada...pomp and circumstance...finger pointing the blame...chemicles used will be determined to be actually worse for the environment than if nothing was used.....Funny, all politicians want to save the Earth....go green...etc....however if they were sincere, the reaction to a here-to-fore catastrophe, would be on an all out effort...right? I mean, duh? IF the world is teetering on some sort of survival because of what man, has done....wouldnt an oil leak, that cant be stopped, and is leaking maybe 10-14 times as much as first announced...so, like 2 million gallons a day....be the NUMBER ONE priority of not only the U.S. govt, and its persons....but ALL nations? What is missing here? We live in times where the truth is getting scarce, and what replaces factual knowledge is frustrated malaise.
I lived in Louisiana in the 1960's, on the bayoo. I know marshland, and it cannot be cleaned. If there were humans locked arm in arm, with any and all tools/methods, available, to "clean" oil up, could do NOTHING to stop something as tenatious, as water flowing, with crude oil in /on it. Fill your bathtub with water....add a pan of oil that you have drained from your car engine.... sit with your clothes on in the bathtub....submerge your self........now use a face towl to clean the water....? Use the towl as a "boom"....um....is this working?...dont rinse...not fair.....now get on with your life...shouldnt be much "impact" from this right? If the oil from your crankcase soaked into your clothes, you will die....oh, not today....A week? maybe like a month and a half, after skin rots off, and blood infection eventually kills ya. BUT (I started a sentance with a preposition), it will eventually kill ya. Clothes represent the environment, the actual things touching the oil, the human body represents life in all regards.
Pray for truth to come to light, and inspired people responding.....
